Hi I am Beverley Higham

August 14, 2009 By Beverley Higham

I am an IFPA qualified Aromatherapist with over 20 years experience in this exciting profession. I have always had a keen interest in nature, particularly plants and flowers. At junior school I knew the latin names of many wild flowers, so it was not suprising that later in life Aromatherapy would appeal to me. I have a passion for essential oils and for helping people so combining the two makes me a very happy person.

I have had amazing results over the years using blends created with the individual in mind. My pets have benefited also. A bald guinea pig grew a new coat after a massage with a calendula based blend. One of my cats recovered from asthma after a sniff of eucalyptus! My Mum and Dad are keen users of essential oils. Dad is a fan of chamomile for tummy upsets and chamomile water on cotton pads for his sensitive eyes. I teach Aromatherapy and enjoy it as much today a I did when I first discovered the subject.

My favourite book is Marguerite Mautys Guide to Aromatherapy. If she was alive today I am sure that we would get on really well. Her work inspires me. Aromatherapy has allowed me to travel. It has taken me to France, Greece, Australia, Sweeden and Latvia. I would never have had such amazing adventures without being introduced to Aromatherapy and the many people who like me, live and breathe Aromatherapy (pardon the pun!). They say that life is a journey , so I hope we can use this blog to share some of our aromatic experiences as we travel through our own aromatic adventures.

Regards Beverley
