Orange – Citrus sinensis

July 11, 2007 By Dr Malte Hozzel

Orange – Citrus sinensis

The sunny nature of Orange is mirrored in its essential oil with its sweet, uplifting and enlivening fragrance. Orange oil puts everything on the move, stimulates liquid circulation in the tissues, giving rise to relaxation and feeling of well being. Its spasmolytic effects on the bowels, and its carminative properties are well known. Orange oil enhances the flow of bile, helps the metabolism of fats and eases a surcharged liver.

In liberating blocked body energies, it neutralizes symptoms of irritation and negativity which are caused by blockages between the “body-soul” and the spiritual soul in us. Its expansive character conveys joy and the freedom of an optimistic view of events: A truly innocent, happy oil, loved by children and adolescents, excellent at all seasons. A gift for the workaholics and those who yearn for simplicity and relief of their daily burden of stress and strain. Laughter of suns in a drop.
